As gardeners we are at high risk of contracting Ross River Virus or other viruses from mosquitoes.
It is very important that we ensure that our gardens are regularly checked for objects or problem areas that hold water for long periods of time
allowing mosquitoes to breed.
The gutters on the house are often overlooked as a place where they can breed, so check your gutters and clear them of any litter that may be stopping them from draining properly.
I have experienced the rath of RRV first hand, which left me unable to function for many, many, months. Protect yourself and your family through the warmer months while this cycle takes its natural course. Using repellents, wearing long clothing and eradicating breeding areas is best.
Remember it only takes one bite!!!
